Exchange & Refund Policy

Can I return a product that was ordered from Reader's Digest Direct?

Yes, if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you can call our Customer Care Team who will provide you with the return address.

Return Policy – We are committed to providing you the highest quality of product and service. You are able to return any product which does not reach your expectations within 10 days of receipt of the order. If you have made a payment towards the product, once we have received the returned product we will credit your account accordingly.


Delivery Time

When will I receive the book, dvd or music product I ordered?

Orders are generally despatched within 7 working days of ordering. Please be aware that standard postal deliveries can take up to 10 working days depending on package size and seasonality.

If I use my credit card to purchase online, is my information safe?

Every transaction processed by us is encrypted using 128 bit SSL encryption and submitted for authorisation under a second layer of similar encryption through our Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Reader's Digest utilises Server Gated Cryptography (SGC) to further enhance this security by automatically upgrading the encryption certificate to 128 bits, irrespective of the level of crypto supported by your own operating system.


When do I need to pay for my order?
If you are ordering from us for the first time online then you will need to pay upfront with your credit card when you place the order.

Existing Customers are able to order without payment if using their Reader's Digest Account number and take advantage of a 30-day pay later, interest free option.



How do I know my Sweepstakes entries are processed?

Every order placed on Reader's Digest Direct receives automatic entry into each of the open prize draws promoted on our Sweepstakes Page.


From time to time you may receive promotions offering you additional sweepstakes opportunities, either by mail, email or even promoted within the store. To ensure your entry and eligibility for these you may need to enter additional information in the checkout process.

  • Mail Promotions with Sweepstakes Codes: If you received a promotion in the mail which says to go online to order and redeem your sweepstakes opportunities, it's likely you will have been given a 'Sweepstakes Code' located on the address label on the envelope. When entering a Sweeptakes Code, you must also enter your Reader's Digest Account number to identify who you are. This ensures that these additional opportunities reserved for you are exclusive.
  • Email Promotions using Coupon Codes: If you received an email promotion, chances are it is either a general promotion or it could be a special offer that can be redeemed by entering a 'Coupon Code' during the checkout process. If the Coupon Code represents a discount, (eg. 'Enter coupon code SAVE10 to save $10 off your order') the discount will only apply to your shopping cart once you have entered the Coupon Code and proceeded to the Order Review & Payment screen.
